Activity
The casting of molten metals in permanent molds or lost molds is still the basis for the production of all cast products today. Depending on the area of application and product requirements, casters use the appropriate process to produce castings manually or with modern equipment. They prepare the molds, cores or casting tools, set up machines and plants and operate them. The finished castings are inspected and any finishing work is carried out.

Apprenticeship as Surface Coater EFZ
Activity
Surface coaters protect and refine metallic and non-metallic surfaces of different workpieces and materials. After suitable pretreatment, they apply metal or oxide layers by electrolytic or chemical means. For this purpose, they use various technologies, including electroplating.
Therefore, the surface coaters must also know the correct composition of the chemicals that provide and dispose of process solutions. They plan the finishing processes and carry them out from pre- to post-treatment.

Activity
Designers create 3D models and technical drawings for internal and external clients. The drawings show assemblies and parts of devices, mechanical equipment or tools.
They are responsible for the correct size, function, durability and calculation of the designed parts and assemblies. They create parts lists, manufacturing, assembly and testing documents and develop the necessary production data.

Electroplating
- Grinding of simple workpieces (customer castings and hardware parts)
- Equipping product carriers with parts for subsequent electroplating
- Assistance at the belt blasting machine
Machining
- Punching of zinc die cast parts on 25 t eccentric presses
- CNC lathe of zinc die casting parts
- Assembly work on fittings
- Cleaning / deburring / breaking off zinc die-cast parts in preparation for the following operations
- Drilling and thread cutting of zinc die cast parts according to drawing
Shipping
- Packing Material
- Pressing nylon into long plates
