Engineering & Development
With many years of our experience, we are happy to advise you on the development of your components. Whether de-mold concerns, draft angles, transition radii or wall thicknesses: You can rely on our know-how in the planning and design of die-cast parts.
Engineering & Development
We support you during planning, the design phase and product development. From the inquiry to the feasibility in the casting, the achievement of your set requirements, the cost optimization up to the finished component we are active at your side to lead your project as fast as possible to success. With the help of various LEAN methods, we make sure that the production of your components runs efficiently.
In the initial phase of your project, we produce prototypes using various processes and convert application drawings into CAD drawings suitable for die casting.
We design on our modern CAD system:
part drawings
tool designs
jigs
punching tools
machining gauges
test gauges
Toolmaking
Our competent staff supports you and develops high-precision die-casting and machining tools. We would be pleased to show you what is possible in the field of tool construction.
Toolmaking
Individually manufactured die casting and machining tools are an important component for efficient production. Our production site in Gossau (SG) is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. Depending on requirements, development and production can take place in-house or in close cooperation with our long-standing partners. Our own tool shop is responsible for the maintenance, cleaning and repair of the tools as well as for the manufacture of machining fixtures and test gauges.
Zinc die casting
As the Swiss market leader in zinc die casting, we produce technical customer parts in zinc alloys on state-of-the-art casting machines.
Zinc die casting
For metal solutions that require high process stability, we recommend series production in zinc die casting. Thanks to the low melting point and the low processing temperature, the cycle time is very short. Further advantages are high strength, narrow tolerances, excellent flow behavior, low energy consumption and optimum conditions for surface refinement.
We cast your zinc die-cast parts in Zamak 5 (Z410) from 3 to approx. 1000 g shot weight on high-speed machines with 7 t closing force and conventional die-casting machines with 20 to 200 t closing force and a high degree of automation, paired with specific manual work.
Aluminum die casting
With leading technology and a lot of experience we cast technical customer parts in close cooperation with our long-term partner in Taiwan. Learn more about our aluminum die casting.
Aluminum die casting
We recommend aluminum die casting for light and durable technical customer parts. This process has the advantage of enormous strength, as the component is cooled down in the mold in a controlled manner. In addition, low component prices can be achieved through manageable tooling costs.
With our partner company in Taiwan, we cast your aluminium die-cast parts mainly in AlSi10Mg (ADC3) and AlSi9Cu3 (ADC12). Other alloys are possible on request.
With MEGA GOSSAU Ltd. you benefit from our know-how and a contact person in Switzerland. We take care of all technical and administrative clarifications and processes for you. We can look back on more than fifteen years of experience in the procurement of aluminum castings on the world market.
Mechanical processing
Our versatile and modern equipped machining department enables the optimal finishing of your die-cast parts from large series to individual production.
Mechanical processing
Whether drilling, milling, turning or thread cutting: Our modern CNC-controlled machining systems enable precise and rational production.
In our mechanical processing department we work CNC cubic with 3- and 5-axis machines with swivel pallet table. Also CNC-rotating, with multi-spindle multi-axis machining up to 120 mm. For large series we produce on special machines with automatic feeding.
Surfaces
We offer you state-of-the-art surface treatment technologies for the final look of your castings. We supply parts with all common coatings.
Surfaces
The final grinding of the surfaces of cast parts is achieved by sand or shot blasting, vibratory grinding, grinding, brushing and polishing. We process your cast parts on state-of-the-art robot systems or by hand, depending on the batch size and complexity of the component contours.
In our efficient, computer-controlled electroplating plants we can nickel plate bulk material using the drum process. Sophisticated parts are nickel-plated, chrome-plated or finished in a velour look with various surface structures on the frame. For more intensive corrosion protection, we recommend to passivate the parts.
We can also offer you non-galvanic surfaces. We supply your cast parts with all common coatings (e.g. powder coating, wet painting etc.) according to the motto "Everything from one source".
Contract work
Are you looking for an addition to your existing process chain? Benefit from our comprehensive value-added infrastructure, even if you only need parts of it. We are your partner for any contract work in the processing of metal parts on our modern facilities.
Contract work
If you are looking for an addition to your existing process chain, then you have chosen the right place. Whether machining, grinding, polishing or electroplating - you decide which process you would like to order from us as contract work and we deliver. Efficient, uncomplicated and in top quality.
