Production
From toolmaking and tool maintenance to foundry, machining, grinding and electroplating to assembly: MEGA GOSSAU AG is equipped with production for all customer requirements.
When it comes to die-casting and punching tools, breaking or clamping devices as well as fixtures for measuring and straightening, our tool shop is used. This is where our constructions take on perfect forms. With the most modern machinery for CNC milling and turning, die-sinking EDM, impulse welding and flat grinding, we are ideally equipped to meet your needs. Preventive maintenance inspections as well as service and repair work on the die casting tools are ensured and carried out quickly.
Whether a technical component with high strength or a decorative molded part with the highest demands: Our efficient casting processes make us your ideal partner. Our machinery includes die casting machines with a clamping force of 5 to 200 tons. State-of-the-art, fully automated casting cells enable the cost-effective and efficient production of small to large series. We produce small and lightweight components in very large quantities highly efficiently using high-speed multi-slide casting processes. We offer the most common downstream production steps at our site in Gossau SG.
Our versatile machining facilities are optimally equipped for your die-cast parts in large series or individual part production. Starting with complex CNC production with multi-sided machining on high-performance milling centers and the efficient production of turned parts on double-spindle turning centers through to autonomously producing special machines. We also offer the cost-effective deburring and polishing of die-cast parts in large quantities in our vibratory finishing systems or the smoothing of their cast surfaces. Even complex assembly tasks are no challenge for us.
In our grinding we can fall back on a deep specialized knowledge in metalworking and guarantee your criteria fulfilment of surface texture requirements from grinding, scotch brushing and polishing processes. For large production batches, we use several fully automated robots for grinding and polishing cells to ensure a consistently perfect surface finish. For prototypes or single part production, your parts will be machined by highly trained metal grinders with decades of professional experience. In addition, we offer the possibility of blasting all parts with various glass granules on continuous or satellite systems - either for technical reasons or for optical upgrading.
In order to meet the requirements of decorative criteria and protection against external influences on component surfaces, we refine materials such as zinc and brass in our electroplating shop. This is done on parts from various process origins such as die-casting, forging, stamping or CNC, decoltage manufacturing. A wide range of finishes such as chrome, nickel, velour and Surtec finishes are available. Decorative visible components are processed here on our fully automated rack system. We finish large quantities as bulk material in the barrel process. Whether on the rack or in the barrel: before finishing, we can have your components pretreated by blasting processes, if desired, to remove the last casting burrs or to evenly matt surfaces. Our waste water treatment plant, which is necessary for the electroplating processes, is also always state of the art. In this way, we reduce the burden on the environment and comply with all legal regulations.
In our assembly department, we put together what belongs together. Whether standard assemblies of our catalogue items or individually configured variants according to customer requirements. Thanks to our wide range of machinery and the experience of our qualified employees, we can perfectly match our products to your desired component. We also gladly and competently take on the assembly work for our customers in the field of metal die-casting and are continuously developing our infrastructure for this purpose. In this way, we offer you significant added value.
